about

Recorded on 4/21/11, the first part of Dose VII (tracks 1 and 2) features a signal path of a Boss RC-50 Looper pedal through a Roland VP-330 Vocoder and a Korg Kaoss Pad.
The second part of Dose VII (tracks 3,4,5) featured a Korg Electribe EMX-1 alongside tape manipulation with a Sony TCM-200DV variable-speed cassette recorder.
These sessions exhibit a range and style unique to the gear we had access to at the time.
The combination of percussion run through an analog vocoder combined with effects generates a haunting yet syncopated chord progression that perfectly matches the rhythm. The drum machine/ sequencer customized patterns were used to perform as Industrial Grade Acid in 2010-2011, and the last three songs of Dose VII were clean-signal rehearsals for a live IGA set at the Litterbox.
